		<description><![CDATA[The Hot Rodding for Heroes Classic Auto Tour and Show mission is to turn our passion for cars into local support for our nation&#8217;s veterans. It has been designed with the principals of featuring our favorite parts of owning a classic car; driving it and sharing it with the public while benefitting a tremendous charity, the Veteran&#8217;s Bridge Scholarship. Available to Santa Fe College and the University of Florida students, this provides returning veterans funds to bridge the time between their discharge and when their veteran&#8217;s benefits arrive.The Hot Rodding for Heroes Classic Auto Tour and Show will assemble at the Santa Fe College parking lot at 9:00am. This portion is open to tour registrants only please. We will leave there at 10:00am on our police escorted 30 mile tour of Alachua County, ending in the Haile Plantation Village Center. Arrival time will be around 11:00am. Along the route we&#8217;ll see area landmarks, buildings, and monuments, as well as area residents out in force.The Hot Rodding for Heroes Classic Auto Tour and Show is proudly hosted by two of the most picturesque and charming settings that North Florida has to offer: the Haile Plantation Village Center and the Haile Plantation Golf and Country Club. The show portion will start with the tour&#8217;s arrival at 11:00am, which is open free to the public. Cars will be distributed throughout the Village Center and Golf Course, along with area vendors, food, live music, and a host of other amenities. Event Parking Event pedestrian parking will be located along 91st Blvd only. Due to potential risks pets, bicycles, motorcycles and skateboards will not be permitted to enter the event. &#160; For schedule and other information, refer to their site.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Bonnie &#38; Ralph Cameron (&#8220;Bikers On Parade for the USA&#8221; organizers and veteran supporters), Jim Lynch (Alachua County Veteran Services Director), Dr. Jackon Sasser (Santa Fe College President), and John Gebhardt (SFC &#38; UF Veteran Advisor). The Collegiate Veterans Society announced the Jim Lynch Veterans Bridge Scholarship at the 5th Annual Veterans Awards Banquet.  Mr. Lynch has helped thousands of Alachua County veterans receive the benefits they deserve as well devoting his off time to help honor local veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Santa Fe College and UF have several Veterans Bridge Scholarships available for veterans attending college and using GI Bill benefits for the first time.]]></description>
